Apophysis-J 2.1 has been released. This version supports the drag and drop of multiple files. For example, you can drag several flame files in order to combine them in one single pack. Or you can drag a flame file and a script file to apply the script
to the flame.
There is now a warning message when a flame uses an unknown variation.
Batch rendering is working.
And there is a much better memory management, at the expense of a little
more CPU.

Apo-J 2.1 probably ends this first series of releases. I will now wait a little for users feedback before deciding the next move. I am aware that an important feature is missing : multithreading. Unfortunately I dont have the necessary hardware for now. It is a pity because Apo, computing density maps of random points, is typically the kind of application that can take advantage of multiple cpus with almost no overhead, and I would love to add the feature to Apo-J !
Then, the next question is : should Apo-J stay a faithful clone of the original Apo, or should it evolve on its own ? ...If you would like to offer input to the further development of this application, please visit either of the two links above as a means of communicating with the author.
Devious Comments
I've got a pretty long list of ideas that the original Apophysis developers will probably never hear, and since Apo-J is happening, I might aswell start putting my two cents in here...
